World of Tanks has been around for a few years on the PC, but was announced as a free to play experience on the Xbox 360 for Xbox Live Gold members at this year’s E3. Now the beta for the game is open on Xbox 360 for a very limited time as it ends tomorrow, December 15.
World of Tanks Xbox 360 Edition is a very interesting mix of massively multiplayer online and shooter. The game uses a freemium model like a lot of mobile and Facebook games, where you can pay real money to advance quicker in the game.
Those with Xbox Live Gold can participate in the beta right now while those without Gold can start a seven day trial by participating in the beta.
