The Soulcalibur franchise is trying something very new with the free-to-play Soulcalibur: Lost Swords, which has been said to be coming Winter 2013 to PlayStation 3. Time seemed to be running out on that release window and through three new character trailers, it looks like the game may have been pushed back to 2014, at least in Europe.
The three new character trailers start with a tagline for each character: the “The Virtuous Holy Warrior” for Sophitia, “He who fights the past” for Siegfried, and “He who lives for battle” for Mitsurugi. Then each one shows off their combat skills for about 20 seconds or so.
The trailers then end with the logo and a big “2014,” which seems to show that it will be out next year now. However, this is the Namco Bandai Europe Youtube page, so it could just be in Europe that it has been pushed to next year.
