A member of Respawn Entertainment’s development team working on Titanfall has recently spoken out about sniping techniques.
It was recently confirmed that Titanfall would have sniping although the exact form is still unknown. With much discussion occurring on the forums Scriptacus, from Respawn Entertainment, stepped in to put minds at rest. Sniping techniques such as quickscoping and no-scoping have been adopted and admired by many first person shooter fans. They are often seen in Call of Duty montages where gamers show off their ‘trick shots’.
However, it doesn’t seem that they will be seen in Titanfall. Not as a result of them being nerfed or purposefully stopped but according to Respawn they will be ineffective. Scriptacus commented:
Sniping is in the game, but due to how the game plays it’s a pretty different animal than you’ll find in your run of the mill modern military shooter. Quick scoping and no scoping are ineffective.
Titanfall is set for release for Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on March 11th.
