One of the most promoted features of the Nintendo 3DS when it launched was the ability to use StreetPass to connect with random gamers that you may come across. Now, Nintendo is taking StreetPass to a much larger scale with the National StreetPass Weekend this Friday and Saturday, December 14th and 15th.
Usually, when you visit a Nintendo Zone location, such as at a Best Buy, you are able to connect to the wifi and be able to get visits from the last six visitors to that specific location. For this weekend, Nintendo is changing it up by connecting you with people all over the United States.
By visiting a Nintendo Zone location on either day, you will get matched with people from anywhere in the US, depending on the time you do so. As the video below says, you could get a visit in your Mii Plaza from someone in New York City, Seattle, Dallas, or anywhere else. This is a nice little promotion to shake up your StreetPass experience, so don’t miss your chance this weekend! Find a Nintendo Zone near you at this link.
