Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD is the upcoming remaster by Square Enix of the classic PlayStation 2 title. We learned recently that the game would be coming to the PlayStation 3 in the US on March 18, but the release for the PlayStation Vita was seemingly left out, which led many to believe that the handheld release may be coming out later than the console version.
However, the official Sony blog today revealed that to be far from the truth, as the PlayStation Vita version was also confirmed for a release date in the US on March 18. This version for the Vita will retail for $39.99 and will be available in retail, that includes Final Fantasy X and a download code for Final Fantasy X-2, or both digitally from the PlayStation Store.
The game will also be supporting cross-save functionality for those planning on purchasing both versions. This is always a useful extra for gamers that are often on the go.
