Earlier this year, a new entry in the Chibi-Robo franchise was announced that would see gamers utilizing the 3DS camera in the real world through AR. Now, the game has received a new name and a release date in the US through today’s new Nintendo Direct. Chibi-Robo: Photo Finder will be arriving in the US on January 9 on the Nintendo 3DS eShop.
This time around, you take control of Chibi-Robo in a museum as the curator wants you to collect a number of items. These items are found by you taking pictures through the 3DS camera of real life items, such as a power socket as seen in the trailer. The game will provide you with shapes that you need to find and you must then line them up and snap.
Be prepared to take lots of pictures this January when it releases on the eShop. A demo will also be releasing alongside the game for those that want to take it for a spin first before buying. Take a look at the trailer below for more details.
