Bravely Default is Square Enix’s next highly anticipated release in the US after being released in Japan awhile ago. We learned in the last Nintendo Direct that the game would be coming February 7 to the Nintendo 3DS, but today’s Nintendo Direct unveiled something known as Sleep Points as well as some information about the demo for Bravely Default.
Sleep Points are points accrued for every eight non-consecutive hours that your 3DS is closed while the game is running. You can earn a max of three at a time and can be used in a variety of ways, such as the ability to revive enemies in battle and swap out for better equipment. You can also buy SP potions from the eShop if you don’t have time to earn them otherwise.
In even bigger news, the demo was announced as coming next month to the eShop, but it’s no ordinary demo. It’s actually a complete side story that you won’t find at all in the main game.
You can check out Reggie Fils-Aime discussing Sleep Points followed by the demo trailer in the first video below, or you can just watch the second if all you want to see is the demo trailer.
