A few weeks ago, billboards were put up in Australia advising people that video gaming can lead to obsessive gambling. These billboards are now going to be removed.
The billboard state that “Gambling starts with Games“. This is an attack on video games since they think that people that play video games will become obsessive gamblers in the future.
PlayerAttack reports that these billboards will now be removed since there wasn’t enough statistical evidence that links video gaming to gambling. The South Australian government knew this was “far-fetched” therefore the billboards will be removed as soon as possible.
If you live in South Australia, don’t believe those billboards. Not everyone that plays video games will end up like Marge Simpson!
