The red light on the PS4 means its overheating, but many people are suffering from a “Blue Light of Death”.
The PS4 just came out, but a lot of people are experiencing problems with the console already. It may be a small percentage of buyers, but it is still a problem nonetheless. People just turn on the PS4, and the blue light comes on but nothing appears on the screen.
Sony has uploaded a blog post about more information on the “Blue Light of Death”. It’s a step-by-step guide on how you might fix the problem, although Kotaku points out it’s not a “surefire fix” for the problem.
Amazon user ratings for the PS4 show quite a number of people facing problems with the “Blue Light of Death”. A lot of people are rating the PS4 a low one star simply because of this technical error.
Hopefully Sony can fix this problem before the PS4 launches around the world on November 29th. If not, there might be more angry customers…
