Just when we thought Call of Duty: Ghosts would be ready out of the box at 1080p, it looks like a day one patch is needed in order to achieve that resolution.
According to EuroGamer, Activision will be releasing a day one patch for the PS4 version of Call of Duty: Ghosts that improves the native resolution of the single-player campaign. Those who do not download the day one patch will output the campaign’s resolution to its regular 720p.
In Digital Foundry’s test with the retail copy of the PS4 version of Call of Duty: Ghosts, it seems that the multiplayer portion of the game runs natively at 1080p while the single-player runs at 720p. Well, that pretty much contradicts what Activision and Sony stated about the resolution since they claimed the game runs natively at 1080p.
We should be able to confirm this later this week when the PlayStation 4 officially launches.
