Sega has just let it slip that a new Typing of The Dead title was in the works, namely one based upon the Overkill title. Rather than making us gamers wait months to see it playable, they’ve instead decided to let us all know that it’s available right now on Steam.
The Typing of The Dead: Overkill is a reinvention of the arcade style lightgun game from SEGA back in 2009. In this rail shooter, players stepped into the shoes of Agent G in his first assignment for the AMS, a group featured predominantly as some of the few people that can seem to withstand a zombie assault in The House of the Dead. By his side is ladies man Isaac Washington, known for breaking both rules and ladies’ hearts. Together, armed with their keyboards and typing dexterity, are all that stands between Papa Caesar and world domination.
If you’re in the mood for a grindhouse fix and don’t mind putting your fingers to work, The Typing of The Dead: Overkill is available on Steam for half price. Players that pick up the game by November 1st can get it for $9.99, down from the original price of $19.99USD. You can get the game here or through the native Steam client.
