Quantic Dream’s latest cinematic video game, BEYOND: Two Souls, aims to make the game more of an interactive experience with options to just leave the controller behind.
Much like David Cage’s integration with the Playstation Move system in Heavy Rain, BEYOND: Two Souls is breaking the usual video game conventions and opting for a controller more and more people are growing accustomed to: their phones. Available now for both Android and Apple tablets/smartphones, the BEYOND Touch™ app lets gamers use a device that they might be more comfortable with to control the experience.
Controlling both Aiden and Jodie is much simpler via use of the BEYOND Touch™ app, as controlling Jodie or Aiden typically consists of tapping on small on-screen prompts, typically small white circles that appear. Moving and adjusting the camera are as simple as dragging your finger on the screen to walk or holding the camera button simultaneously to look around.
Please note: This app acts only as a controller. In order to play the BEYOND: Two Souls game, you will need a PlayStation®3 system and the game, purchased separately at any participating retailer.
• Play the game on your PlayStation®3 system with intuitive touch controls designed for your (iOS or) Android™ device;
• Easy to play, even if you’ve never played a console game before;
• Easy to connect to your PlayStation®3 system;
• Play the adventure in Solo mode, or in Duo mode with a friend using your preferred device.
The BEYOND Touch™ app is available through the Google Play store or iTunes depending on your device.
