Mojang, the independent game developer behind the hit title Minecraft, has just celebrated its third birthday as a company.
Minecraft was initially created and developed by Markus Persson, aka Notch, before he set up Mojang to employ others to help him add content to the game. That was three years ago and today Minecraft is enjoyed by thousands on multiple platforms: be it the original version on PC, the Pocket Edition on phones and tablets or the Xbox 360 edition. Tweeting images of tasty looking burgers the team proudly announced the third birthday of the company, which is currently developing other titles alongside Minecraft.
Minecraft itself is just entering the version 1.7 pre-release where gamers can try and test out new features that will be introduced in the official 1.7 update. This time around a whole host of new content is being added from enhanced fishing to new blocks and biomes. To see the full patch notes head over to the Mojang blog.
