The World Transfer Service for Final Fantasy XIV was originally scheduled to launch sometime in September but was delayed. Today, Producer Naoki Yoshida revealed that the service will finally launch in about two weeks, allowing players to finally move their character onto a different server.
When the game launched over a month ago, we saw how horrible the queue time was and that some of the people weren’t able to play with their friends, as they had to find a server that was open for play. Well, to compensate these troubles, Square Enix will be offering a free World Transfer Service for the first five days after it launches in two weeks. While server congestion still happens once in a while, Yoshida stated that the servers will be once again be enhanced and a few more servers will be added to meet the demand.
In the free World Service Transfer, there are limitations in place::
– For now, players are only allowed to move once to any server they wish to go.
– You can transfer eight characters to one server
