DayZ Standalone early access has recently been added to the Steam Database.
Dean “Rocket” Hall has been fairly quiet about the development of DayZ for the past few weeks, saying he wanted to concentrate on developing the game. With this latest piece of news however, the hype for the game seems to have been revived. DayZ Standalone Alpha was suppose to be released a few months ago, but Dean stated that it just wasn’t ready for the public to see; this may have caused a major decline in the interest of the game and now many other zombie survival games have taken the spot light, with the likes of Infestation: Survivor Stories and State of Decay.
There isn’t much to go with, but it does show that development is moving forward. Hopefully we will be seeing a lot more activity in the near future, and we may even see early access this Halloween. One can only hope.
