Digital Extremes‘ Creative Director Steve Sincalir told IGN that the much awaited Warframe, a free-to-play third person shooter on the PlayStation 4 will only remain as a console exclusive for a period of three months.
“With how the industry is evolving, this really is the Player Generation,” Sinclair said. “Games are reaching players hands in so many different ways now and Sony gets it, which is why we are bringing Warframe exclusively to the PS4 first. There’s no reason not to download Warframe on day one if you’re an action game lover – it’s free.”
Now that Microsoft is allowing indie-developers to publish their games on the Xbox One, there’s a big chance that Warframe will be coming to the console after their time exclusive deal with Sony expires. Not to mention Digital Extremes is interested in putting the game on the Xbox One as well.
