As soon as Rayman Legends was released on Tuesday for a number of consoles, gamers noticed that the Playstation Vita version of the game was missing something. That something was the Invasion Mode, which allows for 28 stages to be turned into timed challenges.
According to the Ubisoft blog, this feature will be patched in for the Playstation Vita version at some point in the future. The interesting piece of information from the posting is the fact that this was not a mistake, but a purposeful plan by the developers, says Communications Manager Gary Steinman.
Due to a longer development time than expected, we couldn’t initially include the Invasion Mode – essentially, a second take on existing Rayman Legends maps – in the Vita version of the game. However, we can confirm that the Invasion Mode will be added via a free patch, at a later date.
If you are dying to play this feature now, you can also pick up Rayman Legends for Wii U, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, or PC as well. Otherwise you can pick up the Playstation Vita edition of the game and wait for the eventual patch.
