Sony has announced through its community forums that the PlayStation Network will be undergoing maintenance on Wednesday, September 25. The time span for the maintenance will be 12:15 pm to 6:15 pm Eastern Time, or 9:15 am to 3:15 pm Pacific Time.
Interestingly enough, just because they are doing maintenance on the network does not mean that PlayStation Network will be completely unusable.
If you’ve signed onto PSN over the past few days, you’ll still be able to play online and access apps during this period, but you may receive a maintenance notification when attempting to access the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, and Account Management as these services will be unavailable. Be sure to sign in now if you wish to access the Network during this maintenance window.
So for anyone that hasn’t signed onto the PlayStation Network in the last few days and would like to use online services during this period tomorrow, make sure to go sign into the PlayStation Network at some point prior to the maintenance.
If there are any significant changes to the PlayStation Network as a result of this maintenance, we will bring you that information as soon as it becomes available.
