After coming out in June in Japan, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, the first game in the series on the Nintendo 3DS, will be arriving in North America and Europe on October 24. This is also the first game in the Phoenix Wright series to receive an M rating from the ESRB due to “the nature of the various crimes and storylines.”
The interesting thing about this release in the West will only be as a digital download, unlike the Japanese release that saw a retail release. This is due to the lower than expected sales of past games in the franchise outside of Japan. The game will be available for download for $29.99 once it goes up on the eShop.
Capcom says that this release will “receive the costume pack and additional episode,” which were available for the Japanese release. However, they did not say whether or not this means it will be included in the initial download or will be available for a fee after the fact, but did say they will give that information in the near future.
