With the coming of next generation consoles, gamers have been wondering how large games will be, especially in today’s world of digital downloading. Through an interview with Eurogamer, we now know that PlayStation 4 launch title Killzone: Shadow Fall will be about 50 GB.
Killzone: Shadow Fall is an uber file – I think it’s cracking on for 50GB. It looks it, too, when you see it.
This size file may seem like an impossibility with digital downloads, but thanks to PlayStation 4’s ability to play as you download, it helps a little. However, with only a 500 GB hard drive and the amount of time it takes to download versus just going to the store and picking up a game, I would venture that retail gaming will still be very prevalent in the future.
Killzone: Shadow Fall will launch alongside the PlayStation 4 on November 15 in North America.
