Rockstar has spoken out as to why all of the main characters in GTA V are male.
Rockstar’s cofounder Dan Houser explained during an interview with The Guardian:
The concept of being masculine was so key to this story.
Houser did want to mention that gamers can create female characters in GTA V’s online mode. GTA Online will be a free update available from October 1st.
There have been many GTA games released since the PSOne era and none of the game allow you to play as a female. Maybe this is something Rockstar should think about in the near future.
GTA V will be released from September 17th for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
