As we told you about last week, Rockstar Games has released a companion app to Grand Theft Auto 5 for iOS that is available as a free download on the Apple App Store. However, the app has had a lot of trouble in the last week due to the high demand seen as a result of the launch of Grand Theft Auto 5. As a result, Rockstar has released a patch for the iFruit app to help quell these issues.
The app has two modes that both connect to the main game. One involves taking care of a dog, that in turn will help you get in-game items, while the other allows you to make custom license plates and cars that can be taken into the main game. Due to the high demand from Grand Theft Auto 5, the server strain was too great and the app was becoming nearly unusable a lot of the time. Rockstar hasn’t given the full details of the patch, but just says that it improves connectivity.
So if you have downloaded the iFruit app, make sure to download the new patch from the iOS App Store now.
