Gran Turismo 6’s custom tracks could potentially span a huge area as large as 2,500 square kilometers.
This number is more reasonable than what Kazunori Yamauchi said about the game back at Gamescom. Back then, he mentioned custom tracks could span an area as large as “100 kilometers by 100 kilometers”.
InsideSimRacing wanted to confirm this for sure as everyone doubted the PS3 had the power to cover an area as large as 100km by 100km. Yamauchhi wasn’t 100% sure about his first estimate but said it could be “50 by 50 kilometers” instead.
GTPlanet did the math and said it would be impressive if Gran Turismo 6 allows its users to create an area so large. The largest racing type of game they named was 2009’s Fuel which had 14,500 square kilometers. 2,500 square kilometers might be achievable for Gran Turismo 6.
Hopefully Sony or Polyphony Digital announce official statistics for the custom track mode for the game real soon.
