Once, the lost civilization of Amdapor thrived in the Twelveswood, her citizens wielders of powerful, yet forbidden magicks which could be used to alter the very fabric of existence. However, as is oft the case with peoples who fancy themselves gods, the self-assuring hubris of the Amdapori eventually became their downfall, and as quickly as they rose to power, did they disappear from the world. For generations, this relic of their once-mighty civilization has remained hidden in plain sight – cloaked by the elementals who sought only to prevent newer generations from stumbling across the ancient Amdapori magicks. That is, until the Lamb of Dalamund – a dark cult who worship the now-fallen lesser moon as a god – dispelled the elementals’ glamour by means unknown, and claimed the keep as their own. Now the crazed followers use its ancient chambers to perform blood sacrifices in an effort to resurrect their evil lord.
Level: Level 50 *End-Game Dungeon*
Overview
– Amdapor Keep is one of the dungeons where it will drop Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy and Mythology. If you are grinding for tomestones, you will most likely spend your time in this dungeon.
– This dungeon is pretty much straight forward. No puzzles or anything that the group needs to worry about. Simply take down the trash mob and hit the bosses.
– Before entering the area where the first boss lurks, go to your left side and find a treasure coffer. Inside is a Demon Brick pet.
Psycheflayer (Mini Boss)
Reward: 10 Allagan Tomestone of Philosophy
– The Psychflayer is the first boss that you will fight in Amdapor’s Keep. When you first approach the area, you will not see Psychflayer but his minion “Lunatic Priest”.
– When the tank first initiates the fight, the group will have to take down the Lunatic Priest. After the priest’s HP hits halfway, he will finally summon the Psychflayer. Have the DPS take down the priest right away and shift the focus to Psychflayer.
– Psychflayer has two moves that everyone needs to watch out for: a heavy single target nuke and an AOE attack. Also, if you are a healer, the boss will try to hit you with a water attack.
– As the boss’ HP hits around 75%, Psychflayer will animate a golem. If this happens, have the tank bring Psychflayer behind the lower right hand pillar.
– The Golems have two moves: a frontal line attack that can be dodged and a heavy AOE attack. As the golem spawns, the DPS in the group should use their offensive cooldowns to take them out fast. Since there will be an AOE damage from the Psychflayer and the Golems, make sure the healer is ready to pop Medica II or AOE heals.
– When Psycheflayer’s health hits less than 50%, he will then animate a Giant Golem that will do AOE attack periodically. Since you are behind the pillar, you don’t have to worry about it, but pay attention to not stand on its red AOE circle.
