Warmachine: Tactics, based on the popular Warmachine tabletop miniatures game, is about to complete its already-successful crowdfunding push.
The Kickstarter campaign for this turn-based tactical combat game is just entering the last 48 hours, having already more than doubled the $550,000 target. The gameplay is squad-based and reminiscent of XCOM, with an emphasis on the synergy between squad members – combining effects and abilities to maximise the potential of your highly-customisable squad.
The design team has a wealth of experience with members having worked on a variety of titles including Medal of Honor, the original Fallout, Myth and a range of others. The experience of the team coupled with the established setting and the impressive early gameplay we’ve seen have clearly led to the campaign’s success to this point and there’s still time to get in on the action with a pledge of $20 netting you a digital copy of the game upon completion.
