WrestleMania 21 was notable for elevating the careers of both John Cena and Batista. Too bad Kurt Angle is not in the game as he had an excellent match with Shawn Micheals that night.
WrestleMania 22
-Mick Foley vs Edge (Hardcore Match)
-John Cena vs Triple H (WWE Championship)
Edge vs Foley was arguably the best match of this WrestleMania. The ending and match itself was jaw dropping. Too bad WWE’s “PG” rating prevents a match like this happening anytime soon.
WrestleMania 23
-Batista vs Undertaker (World Heavyweight Championship)
-John Cena vs Shawn Michaels (WWE Championship)
The mid-card matches for this WrestleMania were disappointing, but the main events were excellent. The two championship matches exceeded expectations even though the event was more famous for stupid Donald Trump’s appearance…
WrestleMania XXIV
-Ric Flair vs Shawn Michaels (Retirement Match)
-Edge vs Undertaker (World Heavyweight Championship)
An underrated WrestleMania in my opinion. It’s my favourite one in recent WWE history. This is notable for the “retirement” of Ric Flair. Undertaker and Edge also was in the main event in an exciting encounter.
WrestleMania XXV
-Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels
A mediocre WrestleMania saved by only one match. Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels has been named as the best match ever in WrestleMania history. It was 30 minutes of brilliance. Not even an action scene in a movie has more drama and suspense that this match had.
WrestleMania XXVI
Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels (Retirement vs Streak)
Another WrestleMania I feel that gets unfair slack from fans. It wasn’t as bad as many people say it is. It’s most memorable for being the last match for HBK.
WrestleMania XXVII
-John Cena vs The Miz (WWE Championship)
-Edge vs Alberto Del Rio (World Heavyweight Championship)
2K Games announced The Miz will be in this mode which means this awful match will be in WWE 2K14. This whole event was so poor and my most hated WWE PPV in recent memory. It’s slightly more memorable now since it’s the last match Edge ever competed in…
WrestleMania XXVIII
-The Rock vs John Cena
-Undertaker vs Triple H (Hell in a Cell)
-CM Punk vs Chris Jericho
A huge improvement over the stink that was left behind by WrestleMania XXVII. The three main events delivered.
WrestleMania 29
-The Rock vs John Cena II (WWE Championship)
-Brock Lesnar vs Triple H
Much like WrestleMania XXVIII, the three main events were somewhat entertaining. The rematch between Rock and Cena wasn’t as good as their first encounter, but it was the one that sold the tickets and PPV buyrates.
This is my prediction for the 45 or so matches that will be included in the WrestleMania mode of WWE 2K14. Do you think it will be accurate?
