Capcom has no plans to part Monster Hunter 4 onto Sony’s PS Vita console.
Monster Hunter 4 will be released for the Nintendo 3DS, but sadly it looks like Capcom is giving the PS Vita console a miss.
Capcom’s Haruhiro Tsujimoto said the following in an interview with Mainichi Shinbun Digital:
(There are) “no [plans] for now
While planning out game content, we will develop and judge which hardware is the most suitable. However, for the sake of the players, having it be a multi-development is the most ideal … We want to have as many people as possible play it on the 3DS, and we are only thinking about making it succeed.
Hopefully Capcom might release some other Monster Hunter type of game to the PS Vita instead. If there’s anything to make Japan gamers buy a console, it’s a new Monster Hunter game…
