Era uoy ydaer rof siht tnemecnuonna? Abracadabra! Zatanna, the backwards spell speaking magician, is the next DLC character in NetherRealm’s Injustice: Gods Among Us. After multiple hints by game creator Ed Boon that pretty much gave it away that Zatanna would be joining the ranks soon, she has now officially been unveiled. According to Boon a few weeks ago, the next character would one of the most requested, which Zatanna certainly would be. I’ve been hoping for Zatanna since the game’s release as she is one of my favorite DC characters. There is no word if this will be the final DLC character, but it would be assumed that it is not as it has not been mentioned that this could be the final DLC character specifically.
Zatanna appears to have multiple tricks up her sleeve with a wide array of moves to choose from in battle. These moves range from teleports and hat throws to a slow moving fireball projectile. Her trait appears to gives Zatanna both her hat and wand where she can use a variety of other moves. The question is whether this is a temporary change like Raven’s trait or if it is a stance chance like that of Wonder Woman and Nightwing.
No release date for Zatanna was given at this time, but expect her to be available relatively soon based on the length between character announcements and releases for Injustice: Gods Among Us so far. Check out the debut trailer below:
