Polyphony Digital has announced at Gamescom that the proposed Gran Turismo movie will be based on a true story.
The true story in question is based off of the life of Spanish racer Lucas Ordonez as reported by Destructoid.
What’s so special about Lucas Ordonez is that he grew up playing Gran Turismo games as a kid and is now a real-life professional racer. This is something unique and unlike the action style of movie that the upcoming Need for Speed movie will be like.
There is currently no release date or any other details about the Gran Turismo movie as of yet.
