Ed McMillen’s twisted Legend of Zelda-meets-Roguelike Lite, The Binding of Isaac, was showcased during Sony’s Gamescom press conference to open fanfare.
The dark and perverted world in The Binding of Isaac, once denied certification from Nintendo for its graphic content, will be arriving exclusively to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita platforms. Players that can handle Isaac‘s extreme use of poop, fetuses, and blood explosions can get rewarded with one of the more satisfying roguelikes on PC.
As part of Sony’s PlayStation Plus program, gamers can pick up The Binding of Isaac free of charge when the title launches later next year. Pricing for non-Plus subscribers has not been confirmed yet.
