In today’s Letter from the Producer LIVE from Final Fantasy XIV, the start date to the much anticipated phase 4 of the beta has been announced.
Final Fantasy XIV beta phase 4 will run from August 17-19. Those who participated in the beta test phase 3 will be able to participate as early as August 16th. Unfortunately, the last phase of the beta will only be available for one weekend, although the characters you create and everything you do in terms of quests and items during phase 4 will carry over to the official release on August 27th.
When phase 4 of the beta starts next week, one of the things Square Enix would like everyone to test is the housing area. A housing area will be released in the La Noscea. In addition, they would also like to test the upcoming PvP system. During the version 1.0, they referred their PvP area the Coliseum but now changed it to the “Wolves’ Den”. Not everything will be unlocked when beta testing the PvP system.
As for the new class that you can use, you will be pleased to hear that the arcanist class will be available for use next week.
