Carries Over your Progress
Playing the Brigmore Witches DLC will not require you to play the first game at all but it’s recommended since you get to carry a lot of stuff from your first DLC. Those who have played Knife of Dunwall and finished it will carry several things that will make the experience in Brigmore Witches DLC a tad better. Your Chaos levels will carry over along with all of the abilities you’ve learned prior. If you decide to continue your low or high chaos level, you are free to do so, just don’t forget that depending on your chaos levels, you get to unlock several different scenes of the game.
NOT
Short if you do High Chaos Mode
If you are to continue your High Chaos mode from the first DLC, you can expect once again to run through the game pretty fast. It’s possible to finish the DLC in an hour, though it’s highly recommended that you go through the low chaos and be as stealthy as you can. The DLC this time can get really challenging, especially in the Brigmore Manor where bunch of supernatural witches await. Those who decide to do the stealth way, it can take you up to two hours to complete the game but finishing it the stealth way feels very rewarding when you achieve no kills or no detection at the end of each level.
Nothing New Introduced
Unfortunately, The Brigmore Witches doesn’t bring anything new to the table except the continuation of Daud’s story. The same exact gameplay you’ve done in the first DLC and the main game will have to be done as well in this DLC. Those who mastered the stealth skill will be able to put their skill into test again as they sneak their way into three different areas of the game. Aside from the story, nothing else is new that a fan can expect in this DLC. It’s quite disappointing but players are not playing this game for the new stuff, but rather see how the story unfolds.
VERDICT
Dishonored: Brigmore Witches DLC is the conclusion to Daud’s journey that everyone has been waiting for and Arkane Studios manages to craft a perfect storyline that ends his journey. Just like the first DLC, the Brimore Witches once again succeeds in storytelling that is superb while maintaining the great gameplay elements we all loved in Dishonored with Corvo. Sure, there are only three levels and it’s pretty shor, but seeing how the story concludes is satisfying enough for fans to play and see until the very end.
