It has been revealed at Gamescom that Beyond: Two Souls will have multiplayer.
This isn’t an entirely separate mode, just co-op used for the single player. One player will control Jodi Holmes (Ellen Page) while the other player gets to control Aiden who is a ghostly guardian of Jodi’s.
Normally one player would control both characters by pressing the triangle button. If you have a second player, you will still press triangle but another player can have a turn. This is helpful because I played a preview of the game by myself, but it would have been more fun playing the game alongside my brother.
Quantic Dream also revealed a mode called “Beyond Touch”. This is a free smartphone app that will allow you to control Jodi and Aiden by sliding your finger around the touchscreen. This app will make the game change to “easy mode” and is designed for casual gamers.
Beyond: Two Souls is sounding more interesting as more information is revealed.
