Unlike with the Xbox 360 and PS3, you can play Xbox One video games simultaneously while the rest of it downloads in the background.
This was confirmed via a Microsoft representative who spoke with Polygon. This is a helpful feature considering it can get boring waiting for huge downloads to be complete if you have slow internet. Currently for some people, it’s sometimes faster to go to a physical store than wait for a digital copy for a game to download.
Much like the Xbox One, Sony will also allow you to play PS4 games when a portion of it has already been downloaded. It’s good to know that next-generation consoles are making digital downloads more user-friendly.
