Vanille will return in ‘Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII’

Aside from Fang coming back in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, one more character is confirmed to be returning – Lightning’s friend Vanille.

In a Q&A session of the Premium Event held in Tokyo today, the game’s director Motomu Toriyama confirmed to Dengeki Online that Vanille is indeed returning in the game. According to Toriyma, She’s being sheltered by the religious group called the Salvation Council, which keeps a tight grip on the city of Luxerion.

As of right now, her role is still unclear. However, fans of Vanille can now rejoice! Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is currently scheduled for release next year on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
