Recently teased during Sony’s E3 press conference, and more recently showcased during Gamescom, Sony will be releasing a new PlayStation Vita bundle including a 3G console, 4gb memory card, and the complete first season to the critically acclaimed The Walking Dead game series by Telltale Games. As an added bonus, the Vita bundle will also include the 400 Days epilogue.
Both Amazon and Gamestop have The Walking Dead vita bundle listed at approximately $249USD. Currently, wifi-only models go for $249USD whereas units with 3G capabilities tend to hover around the $299USD price point. This could justifiably be one of Sony’s ‘hardware sales initiatives’ teased during their annual report.
“For PlayStation Vita, we aim to secure sales and profit growth through various hardware sales initiatives and the release of compelling software titles.”
The Walking Dead Vita bundle will ship with an MSRP of $249USD and will be available through multiple retailers on August 20, 2013.
