It looks like the PlayStation 4 is really set to be released later this year as the console finally passed the FCC regulation. That being said, more technical details on the console were revealed which may sound very interesting to everyone.
One of the technical things that they have released about the PlayStation 4 is that it runs somewhere around 5-35 degrees Celsius. Compared to the PS3‘s operating temperature which runs about 45-55 degrees Celsius, it’s safe to assume that PS4 will run much cooler. While that maybe true, the risk of frying the GPU or any internal components inside the PS4 will be less likely to occur, which means the infamous “Yellow Light of Death” might not happen at all.
Those who are worried of their system overheating, it looks like the PlayStation 4 is engineered to run cooler, thanks to a plethora of vents of the console. Now, let’s hope that dust will not be a problem since it was reported that the PS4 will have a lot of vents, making sure that the system will run cooler.
