Microsoft’s Don Mattrick has defended the $499 price point of the Xbox One. He thinks that it’s amazing deal for that price.
Here’s what Mattrick said on Bloomberg TV:
“It’s a lower number than some of the analysts had forecasted. We’re over-delivering value against other choices I think consumers can get. Any modern product these days you look at it [and] $499 isn’t a ridiculous price point. We’re delivering thousands of dollars of value to people, so I think they’re going to love it when they use it.”
The main reason he defends the price point is because the Xbox One is more than just an games console. It’s designed to be an all-in-one entertainment system.
Still, the Xbox One is more expensive than Sony’s PS4 which will launch for $399.

Stop trying to control America they don’t want you. Stick to what your good at, games!
Otherewise the battle was lost before it started!
