Usually at E3, the media has a chance to question gaming publishers/developers in a “roundtable”. Usually the questions asked are ones that weren’t addressed during the formal presentation. Microsoft has opted to skip the roundtable this year.
The Sun reporter Steve Tilley tweeted:
“Microsoft has cancelled its #E3 post-press conference roundtable w/ the media. Not sure what to make of that.”
The main reason Microsoft probably did this is because of the heavy backlash it took when it revealed the Xbox One last month. Many Microsoft employees were sending conflicting reports about the Xbox One’s policy on connecting to the internet and how it will handle used games.
Still, it sounds like the company wants to keep these topics quiet for now until they announce something official. It will be hard to “positively” announce something that is sure to anger a large portion of the gaming community though…
