Following the death of the monster he takes down, Geralt goes into the main mission where he needs to investigate a village where several killings have been happening lately. According to the elder of the village, the killing is said to be the work of a forest spirit, although Geralt knows it must be a work of a monster. Upon accepting the job, Geralt offers to track down the cause but then, he has to first deal with the villagers’ issues.
In his quest to track down the monster, Geralt will be using another Witcher power where his senses becomes more sensitive. The screen turns black and players must follow the clues, which appears red on the screen. After finding enough evidence, the monster that appears to be killing people in the village will appear on the game’s bestiary section where you can check out the stats. It turns out that the monster appears to be a Leshen- a creature of bark and bone that looks like a tree.
Now that Geralt knows the monster behind the killing, he now confronts it, but he has to endure the trials and traps of the Leshen. Using again his Witcher senses, players will trek Geralt through the forces of the Leshen as it try to stop Geralt. As soon as Geralt takes down the monster, peace in the village is brought upon. Upon returning to the village to deliver the good news, we see that the villagers have decided to kill the one whom they believe is the ones at fault. We now see the consequences Geralt have made that may affect the storyline in the end. Following the completion of the mission, we then see a flash back cutscene where it summarizes all of the things the player have done, something like recapping the events that took place. This is where the demo ended.
On the forty-five minutes of presentation, it left everyone the excitement to know more but unfortunately, that’s all the time we had. Based on what was shown to us, I can now say that Witcher 3 will be a game that will redefine RPGs for the next-generation. Everything we love about the first two Witcher games are back, along with the new improvements CD Projekt implemented to make The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt the most anticipated next-generation game for 2014.

June 16, 2013 at 5:17 PMTriss will return as she is one of the franchise characters, she was on the cover of the last game after all, also she along with Zoltan and dandelion couldn’t die in the last game, i’m expecting other character like roche and lorvith and saskia and letho to make cameo’s if they lived through assasins of kings. Maybe if you spared letho you can make an alliance with the school of the vipor or something cool like that.
