More Xbox One Games
When Microsoft unveiled the Xbox One last month, many people were disappointed. Video games in general took a backseat to show the capabilities of Kinect and how the console can be used to watch TV. Most of these features are irrelevant to someone like me since I live all the way in New Zealand.
Luckily at E3, Microsoft promises their presentation will all be about games and the Xbox One console itself. Microsoft announced there will be 15 exclusive Xbox One games in the first year. Eight of them are new IPs. Hopefully some of these new IPs are worth it and the presentation is not full of horrible Kinect only games…
Microsoft also teased over the past few weeks there’s a huge Xbox 360 announcement coming too. Whatever that is, it should be exciting.
EA and Star Wars
A few weeks ago, EA got the lucrative deal of developing all future Star Wars video games. Quality developers like DICE, Visceral Games and BioWare are all on board to develop new Star Wars games for the future.
It’s unlikely we will see any gameplay footage since the announcement is still recent, but hopefully EA will come out on stage and confirm something like Battlefront III is coming soon or something. I’m sure that will please all of the fanboys.
A new Star Wars game announcement isn’t officially confirmed, but we do know that EA will show off its range of PS4/Xbox One sports games. UFC, NBA Live 14, FIFA 14 and Madden 25 have all gotten the next generation treatment. This is something to look forward to at E3.
This is just a small fraction of “known” announcements we know that will happen at E3 2013. Hopefully one of the big publishers does what Ubisoft did last year and surprise us with something new like Watch Dogs.
