Valve confirmed today that Dota 2 will be launching officially in North America this August 7th.
When Dota 2 launches this August, the game will be free-to-play. According to Doug Lombardi of Valve, the game will release alongside the International 3 competition which will be held August 7-11 at Benaroya Hall in Seattle. Details on the tournament will be released in the next week or two. With the beta happening for over a year now, it’s nice to see that Dota 2 will finally release officially in just less than two months.
