Namco Bandai has announced its financial results for the year ended March 31 and has posted a healthy looking result.
The publisher’s profits and revenues are the highest they have ever been in five years. The company had full year sales of $4.8 billion which is up by 7.3%. Net income for Namco Bandai is now at $320 million which is up by a whopping 67.8%.
This is thanks to the number of quality video games that Namco Bandai released over the past year from numerous popular franchises. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 sold 1.5 million units, Soulcalibur V sold 1.05 million units and the Western release of Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 sold just over 1 million units.
Namco Bandai doesn’t expect to see similar results for upcoming year though. This is because there isn’t as many games that will be out from the publisher in the next 12 months.
