The Coliseum feature that was previously included in Final Fantasy XIII-2 will also be in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII was well.
Speaking with French website Final Fantasy Dream, Lightning Returns’ producer Yoshinori Kitase said the Coliseum will return in “some form” in the game.
He did not specify any more details on the matter. It could be similar to the previous game where you can go in and battle against many opponents. The Coliseum was used as Final Fantasy XIII-2’s main DLC as you could face off against the likes of Gilgamesh, Jihl Nabaat and others.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is due for release later this year for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

May 7, 2013 at 7:48 PMWell with the ability to extend the amount of time you have til doomsday which can be found stated in the lightning returns wikia although they didn’t put a large amount of detail in how it will work but i’d assume would be easy enough to have time gained after finishing a coliseum fight. Alternatively they could just have time be stopped when in the coliseum to avoid people from just being able to stay in there leveling all day without time passing in the game you could add a gil fee to battle either single fee or varying fee depending on how it is and only if that would even be a concern. So ya would be easy enough to put it in with it either going with the game or being a brake from.

May 13, 2013 at 5:35 PMits simple. they said you can add time by defeating enemies.
