Some people can agree with me that some modern blockbuster video games are too short these days. Naughty Dog has hinted that the single player campaign for The Last of Us won’t be so short.
In a video interview with EvolveEnt, Naughty Dog’s Arne Meyer said the following about The Last of Us:
“We’re definitely looking at more than 12 hours, maybe 12 to 16 right now is what we’re looking at. It really depends on how you play. You can play a little bit slower if you try to approach situations stealthy, if you really wanna explore the environment and scavenge, that’s going to add more time too.”
12 to 16 hours for the single player mode sounds like a decent length. This is longer than the short 5 hour long campaigns we see with other games…
The Last of Us is released worldwide from June 14th exclusively for the PS3.

March 16, 2013 at 8:15 PM12 hrs? BS GTA IV’s was 36 hrs long, and GTA San Andreas’ story was more like 48, not to mention all the side missions. In fact there was an achievement/ trophy for GTA IV that was unlocked if you beat the story in 36 hours.
