Everything changed with the arrival of the Traveler. It sparked a Golden Age when our civilization spanned the solar system, but it didn’t last. Something hit us, knocked us down. The survivors built a city beneath the Traveler, and have begun to explore our old worlds, only to find them filled with deadly foes.
You are a Guardian of the last safe city on Earth, able to wield incredible power. Defend the City. Defeat our enemies. Reclaim all that we have lost.
Be brave.
When Bungie’s latest project, “Destiny” was announced, none of us knew what to expect. As time progressed, we have come to learn that the “Something” that hit us, turned out to be several ferociously aggressive alien races. The Vex: a race of highly advanced sentient robots with the ability to time travel, The Cabal: a heavy hitting tank like race, The Fallen: a four armed insect-like, zombified space creature, and The Hive (no official information has been released on this race as of yet.)
Gamers will play as one of the few human survivors who wield the power of the Traveler, a moon-sized sphere that hovers just above the earth’s surface. So far only three different player classes have been revealed and it is unknown as to whether or not more will be introduced.
Titans are technologically advanced praetorian guards who act as protectors of the Last City. Titans will yield incredible power thanks to the strength given to them by the mechanical advancement granted by their armor. Warlocks use ancient powers to add spells to their arsenal complimenting their weaponry. Hunters will concentrate purely on reconnaissance in order to track and destroy all those who threaten the Last City and the liver of existence that humankind has become.
“Destiny is Bungie’s next great action-shooter, set in a persistent world that you share with other players.” –Bungie
