Microsoft has revealed new sales figures for its gaming products. The Xbox 360 is still selling well with over 76 million units sold to date.
This is three times the amount the original Xbox console sold. The Kinect device is also selling strong. The motion sensor device has now sold over 24 million units since it first went on sale in 2010.
Xbox LIVE Gold members in the USA spent an average of 87 hours on their Xbox 360’s each month in 2012. This is 10 percent more than in 2011. There are now 46 million Xbox LIVE community members.
It will be interesting to see if Microsoft can keep this momentum going when the Xbox 720 (or whatever it’s going to be called) hits stores either later this year or next year.
