Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be hitting it’s target release dates in the US and EU, which are February 19th (today) and February 22nd respectively. Unfortunately, Australia will be missing it’s February 21st release date, but only by a few days.
Konami’s title will ship five days later on February 26th. Kotaku first spotted the delay and a spokesperson from Konami’s Australian distributor, Mindscape, had this to say:
Unfortunately due to a last minute shipping delay, the Australian and New Zealand release of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be delayed by a few days to the 26th of February. As gamers ourselves, we’re committed to ensuring that Australian release dates align with global launches and we’re working hard to ensure that this problem doesn’t occur in the future.
With early reviews awarding high scores (our review is currently in progress), this makes the small delay that much harder. But, hey, at least it seems it’ll be worth the wait.
