Bioware has announced today that the final DLC for Mass Effect 3 will be releasing this March, which happens to include both single-player and multiplayer content.
On March 5th, The Citadel DLC will be released on all platforms (PS3, Xbox 360,and PC) and will contain quite a lengthy adventure where Commander Shepard must uncover a conspiracy in Citadel and team up with friends from the first two Mass Effect games. Given the vast size of the single-player DLC, it will be divided into two downloads on Xbox 360, while PC and PS3 players will only have a single download.
When a sinister conspiracy targets Commander Shepard, you and your team must uncover the truth, through battles and intrigue that range from the glamour of the Citadel’s Wards to the top-secret Council Archives. Uncover the truth and fight alongside your squad – as well as the cast from the original Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2.
When the adventure is over, reconnect with your favorite characters from the Mass Effect Trilogy, try your luck at the Citadel’s Silver Coast Casino, blow off steam in the Armax Combat Arena, or explore and furnish Shepard’s own living quarters on the Citadel. With unique content and cinematics featuring your friends and romance interests in the Mass Effect trilogy, Mass Effect 3: Citadel offers one final chance to see the characters you have known for years and rekindle romances.
In addition to the Citadel DLC, Bioware also announced that the final free multiplayer content for the game will be released next week, February 26th on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The Reckoning DLC will offer new characters such as the Geth Juggernaut, Female Turian Raptor, Alliance Infiltration Unit and Talon Mercenary. Also, seven new weapons will be included, which consists of the Geth Spitfire Assault Rifle, Venom Shotgun and Lancer Rifle. All of this content will be available starting next week!
