Phosphor Games Studio has recently revealed their Kickstarter campaign for their AAA action title Project Awakened.
Project Awakened aims to allow gamers a huge amount of player customisation all on the next generation of engines, Unreal 4. Players will have numerous powers to pick from, ranging from teleportation to invisibility and they all look incredible. Here’s a quick look at a prototype development build of some of the games planned powers.
As you can see the game has huge potential and looks incredibly fun! To make things better Phosphor is asking backers what powers they would like to see in the game. Personally I think that games similar to Project Awakened, inFamous and Prototype, have been thoroughly enjoyable to play and that this project seems to blow them out of the water. To help make the game come to being or even just check out the campaign head over to Kickstarter now.
Below is just part of the developers explanation as to what the game is.
Project Awakened contains a modular powers and skill system that allows players to select from a huge number of abilities and combine them in unique ways. Unlike other games which use a class system or skill trees, Project Awakened leaves every choice and ability up the player. Project Awakened allows for players to make typical videogame heroes such as Ninjas, Snipers, or Urban Warriors, what makes Project Awakened truly unique is the potential to craft gameplay experiences and challenges that have never existed before. An invisible hero who can charm enemies to fight for her. A non-violent hero with super speed and agility racing past enemies to the goal. A man who spontaneously combusts at will and touches everyone to incinerate them. The possibilities are endless, and allow players to craft a gameplay challenge unlike anything anyone has ever seen before. The only limit is the player’s imagination.
